The following does not replace professional advice!
As with all candles, these common sense tips
will help you enjoy your Gel candle safely.

Always Keep a Lit Candle Within Sight
Do Not Allow glass container to burn dry.

Gel candles may resemble a beverage of food product. All pictures and references to food or beverage gel candles are designed with non-edible items made of nonfood and gel safe (wax, glass, etc) items. Gel candles may resemble live sea creatures, live plants and other live items. It is to be noted that gel candles reference on our websites, in our books and newsletters are designed with non-edible items made of nonfood, non living and gel safe (wax, glass, etc) items. Keep away from children. Failure to follow instructions could result in fire, injury or smoke damage. Keep wick centered and trimmed to 1/4 inch to prevent smoke and soot buildup.Burn only on a stable, heat-resistant surface for no more than four hours at a time.If flame gets too large or exposed wick is greater than 1/4 inch, extinguish flame and trim wick.Keep away from drafts and flammable material.Do not allow matches or wick trimmings to fall into melt pool. Never burn the last half of a candle. Do not move while burning or if gel is still hot. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

mbedding Items

  • DO NOT LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED. Extinguish all candles when leaving the room or going to sleep.

  • DO NOT MOVE A BURNING CANDLE. Try to avoid carrying a lit candle. Don’t use a lit candle when searching for items in a confined space.

  • KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS. Place candleholders on sturdy, uncluttered surfaces; avoid places where pets or children could knock them over. Never leave a child unattended in a room with a candle. A child should not sleep in a room with a lit candle. Don’t allow children or teens to have candles in their bedrooms. Store candles, matches and lighters up high and out of children’s sight and reach, preferably in a locked cabinet.

  • NEVER USE A CANDLE FOR LIGHT WHEN CHECKING PILOT LIGHTS or fueling equipment such as a kerosene heater or lantern. The flame may ignite the fumes. Keep candles and all open flames away from flammable liquids.

  • PLACE TRIVET OR PROTECTIVE COVERING underneath holder to protect furniture.

  • USE CANDLEHOLDERS THAT ARE STURDY, GEL SAFE and won’t tip easily, are made from a material that can’t burn and are large enough to contain the wax.

  • DO NOT BURN CANDLE WITHOUT AMPLE OVERHEAD CLEARANCE, too close to a wall, near combustible materials, near dry greenery, draperies, sheers, lampshades, garments, or in an enclosed area. Keep candles away from items that can catch fire, such as clothing, books, and curtains. Don’t place lit candles in windows where blinds and curtains can close over them.

  • KEEP BURNING CANDLE OUT OF DIRECT DRAFTS. This includes air and heat vents, open doors and windows, and people traffic. A draft may cause the wick or flame to draw too near to the sides and may fracture the glass.

  • NEVER DROP BURNED MATCHES or other objects into candles.

  • NEVER EXTINGUISH FLAME WITH WATER.

  • DURING USE, CANDLE HOLDER MAY BECOME WARM and should be handled with care.

  • AVOID BURNING THE GEL COMPLETELY TO THE BOTTOM. Extinguish the candle while at least 1" of gel remains.

  • INSPECT YOUR CANDLE CONTAINER BEFORE EACH USE. If you find a chip or crack, discard it. If a match is accidentally dropped into a candle, extinguish the candle and remove the match. If this is not done, the flame could burn away from the center creating a hazard.

  • GEL CANDLE WICK MAINTENANCE. When blowing out wick, take a minute to trim away loose or fallen wick particles using a toothpick or other object to collect pieces from 'liquidized' gel before it re-gels for next burning. This will keep the top gel looking nice and clean.

  • WICK SHOULD BE TRIMMED TO NO MORE THAN ¼" (6mm). A longer wick is prone to dark smoking, especially with more fragrant candles. Also, a longer wick is more apt to burn off center creating a hot spot on the side of the container that could cause it to fracture. When the candle is cool, trim the wick with scissors. Votives should be extinguished before the last half-inch of wax starts to melt.

  • Keep candle on a LEVEL surface.

  • If you are not going to burn your candle for some time, it will help to keep the top  of  your candle CLEAN FROM DUST by covering it with a cellophane or plastic wrap.

BEFORE LIGHTING CANDLES, ALWAYS REVIEW SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
